Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens – One of my favourite hidden gems in the Dandenong Ranges, this place feels like stepping into a fairytale. Originally part of the Burnham Beeches estate, the gardens were created in the 1920s by Alfred Nicholas, and now they’re a peaceful escape filled with towering ferns, mossy bridges, and the most beautiful little boathouse. There’s something so magical about the way the light filters through the trees and reflects on the water—it’s the kind of place that sparks creativity and makes you feel completely connected to nature.
